Meet the Founder
I'm Aishwarya Ejoumale a.k.a Aisha, a certified counselling and media psychologist from Chennai. My passion for psychology developed from a tender age of 15 when I chose Psychology as the mainstream at high school and that marked the beginning of this fabulous journey of helping people rediscover themselves.
I completed my undergraduate and master's degree in Psychology after which I decided to move to the UK for further studies in a relatively new field called 'Media Psychology' where I studied the ways in which media influences human mind and behaviour and how to ensure digital well-being. My keen interest in understanding people in corporate settings made me study a post-graduate diploma in Human Resource management as well. Through all these years of education, not even once did I think that knowledge from books is greater than hands-on experience. So I started working part-time/interning in various clinics and hospitals alongside other psychologists and psychiatrists which taught me great lessons which seldom fit into my 800 pages textbooks. I gained experience by counselling people with depression, anxiety, relationship/work-related issues, child abuse, and substance abuse problems. Furthermore, I am professionally trained to practice various therapies including Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), Expressive Arts & drama therapy, and Pre-marital counselling.
Our Approach
I personally do not support the "One-size fits all" approach when it comes to mental help. Each individual is a product of unique experiences and personal qualities and thus requires tailored treatment methods to address problems. First and foremost, I do not refer my clients as 'Patients'. They are just 'Clients'. They are just normal people who are wise enough to understand that It's okay to ask for help. Each of my counselling session starts with an ice-breaker session where a good rapport is built between the therapist and the client. I do not give advice or tell you what to do. Instead, I communicate with the client and listen with empathy while he/she expresses her thoughts and feelings. After an in-depth analysis of the problem, I choose the most-suitable approach and start the therapy after clearly discussing the treatment plan with the client. WE ARE ON THE SAME TEAM! There is no power dynamics here.
Join me and rediscover the WONDER in you.
